Disaster Recovery

At LAN System Services, we know that sometimes computer systems go down and data can be lost, no matter how much monitoring and maintenance is performed. We consider the following key components when thinking about recovering from a disaster on your network.

Recovery Window

The time it takes to recover from any disaster must be less than your tolerance for downtime and include hardware sourcing, network restoration and data re-entry. Re-entering even a single day's worth of data can take days once systems are up and running.

Our business protection includes easy restoration of single files or emails, planned contingencies for rebuilding servers and quick recovery from complete site disasters.

Offsite Archives

Right now, your business has thousands of files you haven't used but need to keep. If they've been deleted or corrupted, it will take time to recover them, if it's possible.

Archiving offers protection from such unknown deletions, corruptions and accidental overwriting of files. These archives are stored offsite to protect against local disaster or theft.

Options & Components

We use error tolerant backup software that schedules backup jobs to run while your network is idle. Complete backup includes Windows server, operating systems, all programs and data. We also back-up Active Directory (AD), information store and system state.

Another option is imaging software that creates bootable images for quick recovery even to different hardware. Our backup process offers faster recovery options and files restorations.

Finally, the hardware required can be attached to server, network, offsite or some combination of the three.

You can also choose how to store your data: tape, disk, data vault or a combination of redundancy options.
